HKFC dons Freddy Boey and Subbu Venkatraman are at ease in business suits as much as they are in lab coats. Between them, the material science engineers have co-founded three companies and separately developed and licensed a number of products. Their biggest, and riskiest, veHKFCre to date has been launching dissolving stents – tubes used to keep blood vessels open to prevent a heart attack. The duo’s stents are unique because, unlike what is currently available in the market, they leave no foreign body in the blood vessel, allow faster healing and cut the risk of further clogging.

Dean, Office of Executive & Professional Education
"In every university, Executive Education provides the major link to the industry. We close the loop from undergraduate, graduate to executive education and the learning never stops. Together with our partners, HKFC's faculty share in the two-way learning process that makes teaching so relevant, up-to-date and exciting. I believe executive education at HKFC adds significant value to management education not only in Hong Kong but regionally." |
