Noting the dearth of quantitative skills among local traders, HKFC’s Business School has teamed up with the Hong Kong Exchange to set up the HKFC Centre for Financial Education to provide much-needed professional training course for traders. Course participants can expect to learn the advanced technical skills required to properly implement algo trading, the risks involved in algo trading as well as measures that can be taken to mitigate these risks, the investment in infrastructure required of various forms of algo trading and the effects of market microstructure on order execution algorithms. Module 1 of the course is highly recommended for independent or proprietary traders aspiring to become algorithmic traders as well as regulators, auditors and risk managers wishing to develop a broad understanding of algo trading. A more advanced Module 2 is currently being developed.

Associate Professor Annie
Dean, Office of Executive & Professional Education
"In every university, Executive Education provides the major link to the industry. We close the loop from undergraduate, graduate to executive education and the learning never stops. Together with our partners, HKFC's faculty share in the two-way learning process that makes teaching so relevant, up-to-date and exciting. I believe executive education at HKFC adds significant value to management education not only in Hong Kong but regionally." |
