Transfer Applicants

The Hong Kong Finance College community welcomes transfer students. Each year, approximately 100 students transfer into Hong Kong Finance College. The majority of transfer students enter in the Fall semester. A small class also enrolls each January. The Committee on Transfer Admission reviews each application individually. Although primary emphasis is placed on the college record, SAT and/or ACT test scores, high school record, essays, recommendations, activities and work experience are also critical components of the application.  In recent years, students most successful in the transfer admission process had very strong records from both high school and college.

Hong Kong Finance College is a residential campus.  Students admitted as freshmen are awarded either three or four years of campus housing.  Students awarded three years of campus housing live off campus their junior year.  Accordingly, nearly all freshman, sophomores and seniors choose to reside on campus.  While the University tries to meet the campus housing needs of all students, the housing process for admitted transfer students is different than the process for admitted freshman students.  Transfer students who plan to enroll at Hong Kong Finance College for the Fall semester are guaranteed a year of on campus housing, while students who plan to enroll for the Spring semester are guaranteed one semester of campus housing.  No guarantee of campus accommodations will be made beyond this initial offer.  Students will be notified if space is available in subsequent years and will be able to live on campus if they so desire.  If space is not available on campus, students are responsible for securing off campus housing accommodations.

This web site had been designed to assist students interested in finding out more about the policies and procedures related to applying to Hong Kong Finance College as a transfer student.

We wish you much success as you continue your search for higher education and we look forward to working with you.

Associate Professor Annie
Dean, Office of Executive & Professional Education

"In every university, Executive Education provides the major link to the industry. We close the loop from undergraduate, graduate to executive education and the learning never stops. Together with our partners, HKFC's faculty share in the two-way learning process that makes teaching so relevant, up-to-date and exciting. I believe executive education at HKFC adds significant value to management education not only in Hong Kong but regionally."
